In Cherished Memory of Edward Francis McMahon

8th September 1963 - 5th February 2024Â Aged 60 YearsÂ
Edward, who was affectionately known as Eddie, was born on the 8th of September 1963 to proud parents Elizabeth & Edward.
Eddie was the oldest of four McMahon children with siblings Annemarie, the late John-Paul: who tragically passed away at the age of 16 and Anthony. A brother-in-law to Tony. Eddie was very close to his extended family too with his nieces Natasha, Charlene and their partners; Scott and Colin. He was also a great uncle to Ellie, Sophie, John and Liel.
As a youngster Eddie attended St Monica’s Primary School Coatbridge and progressed onto Columba High School Coatbridge, where he excelled in all aspects of education that were of most interest to him.
In terms of his working life Eddie worked with North Lanarkshire Council within the
Environment Department, with his main focus being the care and maintenance of gardens.
Alongside his family Eddie shared another passion in life and that was his love of Glasgow Celtic Football Club.
Sadly, although peacefully Eddie passed away on the 5th of February 2024 in University Hospital Monklands.
Funeral Details:
Wednesday 14th February 2024 - Rosary at 7 pm - Coats Funeral Home. Coatbridge
Thursday 15th February - Departing from Coats Funeral Home 5:30 pm - Received into St Monica’s Roman Catholic Church at 6pm.Â
Friday 16th February - Requiem Mass 10 am - St Monica's Roman Catholic Church.
The family warmly invite all to return with them to St Patrick’s Church Hall for a further opportunity to remember and celebrate Eddie’s life
